Details have been confirmed for a hot 3 door and 5 door version of the new model year Kia Cee’d which will be labelled GT. The cars, which will be launched in the latter part of 2013 will both feature 1.6 Gdi petrol engines fitted with a turbo charger to boost perfomance up by 51% and give an improvement in torque of 61% over the standard engine. Kia say this will make the car hit 62mph from rest in 7.9 seconds.
These are the first ever hot hatch cars produced by Kia and are a much anticipated addition to an already dazzling line up of award winning cars.
Features which will stand the new GT models apart from the standard production Cee’d will include Alloy racing pedal sets, new grills , bumpers and 18″ alloy wheels and new lamp sets. Also there will be racing red calliper sets on the wheels to give the car a more aggressive look. To cap the look off the cars will feature “jewel-like” four point LED daytime running lamps mounted in the lowerside grills and sports seats designed by the world famous manufacturer Recaro completes the look.
